Performance through Lightweight Construction.

Lightweight construction means concentrating on essentials while using state-of-the-art materials. Carbon fiber-reinforced plastics (CFRP) form the structure of the Roding’s passenger cabin, while the front and rear sections consist of Aluminium-Carbon hybrid construction. The special characteristics of the CFRP material are low weight and high structural stiffness. These are essential features for open sports cars like the Roding, because chassis stiffness in combination with low weight generate the basis for direct and precise handling and convincing driving performance.

120 kg Carbon of Lightweight Structure

Similar to a Monocoque of a F1 race car, the passenger cabin of the Roding Roadster is entirely CFRP manufactured. Cowling parts are mostly omitted to reduce weight and the structure is emphasized by Carbon look, because of its capacity as a design element. With astonishingly low 75 kg, the passenger cabin is the essential cause for the Roding Roadster’s low weight.
